Papier-mâché has a long history in parts of India such as Kashmir and Madhya Pradesh where craftspeople make masks, animal figures and much more from this eco-friendly and green craft. Using a mixture of waste paper and gum that is then moulded into shapes, this craft is easy to adapt to new ideas and figures. These birds are amongst the most beautiful products that they make, with the painting on each bird done using a reference book to ensure the authenticity of the figures.
